People are well aware of the utility value of the public carriers such as the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation buses. More so, the service rendered by the Corporation is also well recognised. But the buses are used in more ways than one. For some, they serve as billboards, a better and cheaper tool for communication. But on Tuesday a person found another way to use the vehicle. He chose the window of a stationary bus, near the Madurai Dairy, to dry his wet clothes. The bus got stuck in a pit, dug recently for cable laying work. Overnight showers loosened the soil that covered the pit, which caved in when the driver of the bus attempted to cross the section.
