Yazdani's body to be brought to city today

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: The body of an alleged terrorist Ghulam Yazdani, who was killed in an encounter with police in Delhi recently, would be brought to Hyderabad on Wednesday by his family members.

Hailing from Nalgonda, Yazdani's parents and brother live at Hakeemabad Colony near L.B. Nagar. Amidst reports that some locals raised objection over the plans of Yazdan's family members to bury his body in the area, speculation continued whether they would change the plans.

Yazdani's uncle Gulam Ahmed, however, told The Hindu over phone that they had decided to bury the body on the city outskirts "come what may". "Anyway, we'll go by the court directions," he said. Meanwhile, the Cyberabad police said all security precautions were being initiated to ensure no untoward incident was reported over the issue.
