MSK Nagar attack: case against 50 persons

Staff Reporter

Thiruvananthapuram: The Fort police have listed 50 persons as accused in the violence at MSK Nagar on Attukal Pongala day on Monday.

An official said none of the accused have been named in the first information report.

The police were investigating both Bharatiya Janata Party and Left Democratic Front (LDF) workers in connection with the violence.

Eight youth, most of them Seva Bharathi and Akhila Bharathiya Vidyarthi Parishad, workers had been injured in the violence.

The fight occurred when local people prevented Seva Bharathi activists from working among devotees in the area.
