The Government accepted it as the suo motu proposal and appointed HUDA as the nodal agency to evaluate the proposal. HUDA then called tenders for appointment of consultants to examine the proposal .

HUDA Chief Engineer Vivek Deshmukh said the notification for inviting Expression of Interest for shortlisting the prospective bidders for the Rs.600-crore project would be issued on Thursday. He said as per traffic projections, apart from the ORR providing access to the airport from Gachibowli, those commuting from city need faster access and the expressway would fulfil the requirement exclusively.
