Bangalore: Chairperson of Biocon Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw on Thursday suggested to the Karnataka Government to float a special purpose vehicle (SPV) for infrastructure development of Bangalore, which is bursting at its seams. Ms. Mazumdar-Shaw, who called on Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy at the Vidhana Soudha, is said to have raised issues pertaining to road and power infrastructure and hoped that traffic congestion in the city would be eased through various means. The Chief Minister is said to have assured her that the Government was committed to completing infrastructure projects well ahead of schedule and mentioned that the Airport Road flyover project would be the first one. All short-term and long-term projects, he mentioned, were on the right track.
