Clonal special fetches highest price in tea auction

KOCHI: At the Kochi leaf tea auction on March 15, an invoice from Glendale Tea Estates in the Nilgiris for grade STGFOP-Clonal special of 140 kg was auctioned at a price of Rs. 350 a kg. This price is said to be the highest realised for any tea this season at South Indian auction centres at Kochi, Coonoor and Coimbatore, says a release.
