COIMBATORE: Host SNR Sons coasted to a comfortable five-wicket win over VLB Janakiammal College of Arts and Science to enter the final of the 14th inter-collegiate cricket tournament for the SNR Ever Rolling Trophy at the SNR Sons grounds here on Thursday. In a rain-affected match, VLB posted 129 for eight in 20 overs. In reply, SNR reached the target with five wickets to spare. Meanwhile, PSG College of Arts and Science crushed Kongunadu CAS in the other semifinal. The scores: VLB Janakiammal CAS 129 for eight in 20 overs (Shahjahan 51) lost to SNR Sons 130 for five in 19.3 overs; Kongunadu CAS 41 in 16.4 overs (Kandasamy three for 14, Karthick three for two) lost to PSGCAS 44 for no loss in 7.2 overs.
