Music festival in August to tap new talent

MYSORE: Sri Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha here will organise a music festival - to recognise new talent - during Krishna Janmasthami in the second week of August.

The music festival - Krishnothsava - is also being held to mark the golden jubilee year of the sabha. It is open to artistes aged 30 years and below. They can be either from the Carnatic or the Hindustani genre and can render vocal or instrumental concerts. They should be proficient to give a concert of 90 minutes' duration.

Interested artistes should send their biodata along with two photographs, a live CD or cassette recordings of their concert to No.38 C, Second Cross, Jayalakshmipuram, Mysore-12 or 162 (P), 2nd Cross, Belagola Industrial Area, Metagalli PO, Mysore -16. The last date is May 30.
