Rajasthani silk paintings on display

Chennai:
Wooden articles from Saharanpur, colourful cotton files and bags from Gujarat, silver jewellery, gemstone and white metal crafts are some of the exhibits on display at the Rajasthani Holi mela at C.P.Arts Centre.
Also on display are bed sheets, bags, brass and lamp shades of hammer work from Jaipur, Pallankuzhi and antique works from Chettinad, sarees and dresses from Vijayawada, palm leaf engravings from Orissa.
The exhibition, organised by the Artisans Welfare Group, Rajasthan, will open from 11 a.m. till March 29.
The jewellery sets include silver and one gram gold, besides lac bangles from Ajmer.
There are Rajasthani silk paintings, gemstone paintings, white metal gift items, musical set, Jodhpur white metal, meenakari wood, Lucknowi chikan, dry fruit boxes and trays, hand-printed cotton bed sheets and pillow covers, diwan sets, quilts, Jaipuri gaghra choli, kurtas, cotton churidars, sarees and other dresses.
