IPE training programme

A two-day training programme on `financial engineering' by T. Satyanarayana Chary of the Institute of Public Enterprise (IPE) will be organised on March 17 and 18 at the IPE premises on Osmania University campus, according to a press release.

Technical symposium

Sixty-six papers will be presented apart from 17 poster presentations at Revelation'06 - the students' technical symposium being organised by the Department of Civil Engineering, Vasavi College of Engineering, on March 17 and 18.

The main themes of the symposium include advances in construction technologies, ground improvement techniques, inter-linking of rivers and solid waste management.

UGC research project

The University Grants Commission has sanctioned a minor research project of Rs. 75 lakhs to P. Mohan Rao, Head, Department of Public Administration, Railway Degree College, Lalaguda, for doing study on `Good governance in Andhra Pradesh.'

Open varsity exams

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU) on Thursday announced that the last date for payment of fee and submission of examination registration forms for all degree examinations is March 20. The final year degree examinations will be held from May 7 to 12.

The second year from May 18 to 23 and the first year examinations will be conducted from May 28 to 31.
