Reinstatement of staff demanded

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Public Office unit of the NGO Union has demanded the immediate reinstatement of the seven employees dismissed from service by the Government.

They were dismissed for participating in the strike against the policy of globalisation.

A meeting of the unit, which adopted a resolution to the effect here on Thursday, elected D. Sajulal as president, K. Sivanath and K.Vasanthakumari as vice-presidents, B. Anil Kumar as secretary, V.K. Harikumar and S. Ajmal as joint secretaries and K. Sudheesh as treasurer.
