Pre-wedding HIV/AIDS test mandatory in Goa

Panaji: Couples in Goa who intend to get married will have to undergo the HIV/AIDS test, the State Cabinet decided on Friday.

Chief Minister Pratapsinh Rane said Goa is the first State in the country to do so. The issue will, however, be open for a public debate. The Cabinet also approved a proposal to offer free medicines and assistance to cancer and trauma patients. — UNI
