IT fair begins on Tuesday

NEW DELHI: A three-day-long international exhibition-cum-conference titled "Fourth Convergence India 2006", billed as South Asia's largest communications and information technology event, opens at Pragati Maidan here this coming Tuesday.

Highlighting the country's Information Communication Technology (ICT) prowess, the exhibition will display the latest technologies in broadband and wireless access, optical access networking, multimedia broadband services, mobile phone accessories, satellite receivers and Direct To Home technologies. About 350 exhibitors from 23 countries will take part in the event that has been jointly organised by the Cellular Operators' Association of India (COAI) and Exhibitions India.

Over the past 13 years Convergence India platform has developed a reputation for making business happen. It places emphasis on the impact of innovative technologies in the real life business environment, targeting heightened productivity and tapping new revenue streams.
