New Delhi: Union Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs Vayalar Ravi will attend a three-day conference of heads of Indian missions in West Asia in Doha beginning Sunday. The conference, to be attended by top envoys from the Gulf Cooperation Council, Syria, Yemen, Libya and Palestine, will discuss issues related to Non-Resident Indians, including ill treatment of Indian workers, fake recruitment agencies and measures to protect Indian maids, an official release said here on Friday. However, he had cancelled his scheduled visit to the United Arab Emirates owing to the extension of the Budget session of Parliament from March 17 to March 22. — PTI
