KARIMNAGAR: The activists of Communist party of India staged a dharna at the Collectorate here on Friday demanding the all round development of Karimnagar district.

Since morning, the CPI activists started arriving in large numbers at the Collectorate and squatted in front of all gates and did not allow employees to enter office.

The Collectorate complex building which houses several departments offices wore a deserted look due to the CPI programme. The agitational programme continued till evening and no official could enter the complex.

The activists did not allow the customers to use ATM facility of the State Bank of Hyderabad branch at the Collectorate as they squatted near the ATM centre.

Despite several pleas of the security personnel, the protestors did not move from the place till evening forcing the customers to go to other ATM centres.
