ONE FOR THE ALBUM: Winners of The Hindu Retailers' Display Contest with their prizes in Visakhapatnam on Friday.
VISAKHAPATNAM: Winners of the `Retailers Display Contest' conducted by The Hindu were given away prizes at a function here on Friday. The contest was conducted from February 15 to March 16 for a total of 269 retailers, 139 in the city and 130 in the suburbs. The retailers were asked to display the publicity material and the group publications. T.V. Suresh, Regional General Manager of The Hindu , Visakhapatnam, visited all the stalls for rating them. For the city and the suburbs, first, second and third prizes and five consolation prizes each were given.
More participants
Addressing the retailers on the occasion, Mr. Suresh said in contests in the previous two years the number of retailers was limited to 40 but this year it was increased to 269. The four factors of displaying publicity material and group publications, interest taken to get more material and sales were taken into account while deciding the winners.
