Film gets pat from President

CHENNAI:
A young filmmaker A. Balaji has made a short film with patriotism as the message.
Now he is more than happy, as he has won a pat from the nation's First Citizen.
Balaji sent Vande Mat`ram to President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. And, he got a reply from him appreciating the film, saying, "I particularly liked the climax. My best wishes to you."
The film narrates a tale set on an Independence Day in an Indian village that lacked basic infrastructure. A little girl from a family of washermen, who has very few dresses to wear, dons the Tricolour. Balaji was an assistant director of the film Amirdham.
