Not just another day for them

Staff Reporter

CHENNAI: Over 120 middle and high school level students of American International School, Chennai, showcased their skill in playing instruments, dancing, singing songs, and acting the other day.

The school gym got transformed into a cozy restaurant as a variety of food was served during the performance to 300 guests who watched the entertainment.

Variety was very much the word that night.

They sang songs, dramatized poems, played instrumental solos, choreographed dances, played duets and ensembles while bands entertained the audience with music from Power Rock and Phantom of the Opera to March and Eccossaise from Beethoven.

Five concert bands comprising students from 6th, 7th and 8th grades and the High School Beginner and Advanced Band took part.

This was the first year that the AISC Jazz Band performed Gimme Some Lovin', At the Hop and Breezin'.
