Three students presented papers

CHENNAI: Three final-year students of Crescent Engineering College recently won the best technical paper award at the TeamTech international conference held at Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore.

Mechanical Engineering students B. Sivaramakrishnan and N. Saikumar and Electronics and Communication student T.K.Saravanan were awarded for their paper titled `Mobile biotelemetry of electrocardiogram of Bluetooth and IEEE 802.11b'.

In simple terms, the student's paper dealt with automatic detection of any anomaly of the functioning of the human heart and provision of immediate medical aid. The person's location would be detected at once and help provided from the nearest medical centre.
