VISAKHAPATNAM: Besides allowing its pass-holders to travel free to the centres for SSC examinations beginning March 20, APSRTC Visakhapatnam Region will ply special buses during the examinations. According to RTC Visakhapatnam Regional Manager D. Satyanarayana, the special buses will ply on the following routes: Pendurthy to the Old Head Post office (OHPO) via Convent Junction, Tagarapuvalasa to OHPO via Madhurawada and Maddilapalem, Dwarakanagar Central Bus Station (CBS) to Kurmannapalem via Scindia and CBS to Old Gajuwaka via NAD. He said that in view of the jumbling of students taking the SSC examination, they would be allowed to go to the centre and return free on production of the free/concessional bus pass issued to them and the hall-ticket. They would be allowed to travel to the centre and return free of cost irrespective of the distance and the origin and destination mentioned in the pass, he said. Free travel will be allowed from March 20 to April 4, the period during which the examinations will be held. However, students not having a free/concessional pass must purchase ticket.
