Runaway girls sent back home

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: Two girls who fled and came to the city on Thursday night reportedly after their parents chided them, were rescued by police before they fell prey to a suspected pimp.

The girls, both aged about 14 years, ran away from their homes in Warangal Khilla area on Thursday evening and boarded a train bound for city. They arrived at Secunderabad Railway Station around 7.30 p.m. One of the traffic constables saw a suspected pimp speaking to the confused girls, grew suspicious and alerted Gopalapuram police, who sent the girls to Begumpet police station where they were kept for the night. On Friday morning, information was sent to their parents. Later in the evening, the girls were sent back along with their parents.
