Fire safety: court seeks MCH report

HYDERABAD: A Division Bench of the High Court on Friday directed the MCH Commissioner to file an affidavit within four days regarding action taken on safety standards in multiplex cinema complexes in the city.

The Bench was dealing with a case on safety standards and violation of regulations in high-rise buildings within the twin cities. Paul Bhuyan, Principal Secretary, Home informed the court that new rules for safety norms in cinem a halls were under consideration and action taken would be reported to the court soon
