Isolated rain likely in south T.N.

CHENNAI: Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu and coastal Andhra Pradesh and dry weather prevailed over Rayalaseema, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep. The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in cm are: Repalle (Guntur dt.) 2 and Nanguneri (Tirunelveli dt.) and Nagercoil (Kanyakumari dt.) 1 each. On Saturday, the maximum temperature rose appreciably at one or two places over Tamil Nadu, rose at one or two places over Rayalaseema, Telangana, rest Tamil Nadu, coastal Andhra Pradesh, fell appreciably at one or two places over coastal Karnataka and Kerala, fell at one or two places over rest Tamil Nadu and changed little elsewhere over the region.

They were appreciably above normal at one or two places over coastal Andhra Pradesh, north coastal Tamil Nadu, above normal at one or two places over Kerala, south coastal Tamil Nadu, rest coastal Andhra Pradesh, appreciably below normal at one or two places over Telangana, below normal at one or two places over interior Karnataka, rest Telangana, Rayalaseema, rest Tamil Nadu and generally normal over the rest of the region. Bellary recorded the highest maximum temperature of 37 degree Celsius in the region. The minimum temperature fell at one or two places over Tamil Nadu, Telangana, rose appreciably at one or two places over south Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema, rose at one or two places over interior Karnataka and north Kerala and changed little elsewhere over the region.

FORECAST (valid until Tuesday morning): Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over south Tamil Nadu. Mainly dry weather will prevail over north Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.
