Girl found within hours of kidnap

An alert was sounded and nakabandi set up

BANGALORE: A nine-year old girl was kidnapped from a car in Electronic City on Saturday. However, she was found in Marathahalli within hours of the incident.

According to the police, Afrina Banu was on her way to Attibele from the city in the car with her elder brother Rahamatulla and daughter Tamanna when another vehicle overtook them and blocked their way at Electronic City II Stage.

Three men alighted from the vehicle, approached the car, threatened the passengers and took away the girl.

Immediately, Afrina Banu and her brother lodged a complaint with the Hebbagodi police, who sounded an alert and set up nakabandi.

The girl, who was found near a petroleum outlet in Marathahalli, had been left by three men there.

The Hebbagodi police have registered a case. Investigation is on.
