Plea to spend funds by month-end

Kakinada: Secretary to the Government, Irrigation, Satish Chandra, has asked the officers to spend the funds earmarked for land acquisition for various irrigation projects in the district by the month-end or else surrender the unspent funds for utilising them on other projects.

Reviewing fund utilisation, along with Finance Secretary Krishna Rao over a video conference on Tuesday, Mr Satish Chandra said Rs.106.59 crores were allotted for land acquisition and construction works for Polavaram, Pushkara and other projects in the district.
