TIRUMALA: Jammu and Kashmir Governor Lt.Gen. S.K. Sinha offered prayers at the Hill temple of Lord Venkateswara on Tuesday morning along with his wife and family members. Mr. Sinha, who arrived at Tirumala on Monday, spent the entire day visiting various places at the temple town and also enquired about the facilities being extended to visiting pilgrims.
According to highly placed sources, it is learnt that the Governor's intention behind visiting various places at Tirumala and studying the existing facilities being extended to the visiting pilgrims was to adopt similar conditions at the famous Hill shrine of Vishnao Devi also. The chief executive officer of the Vaishnao Devi shrine Arun Kumar also accompanied the Governor.
TIRUPATI:
Mr. S.K. Sinha visited the TTD-run Balaji Institute of Relief and Reconstruction of the Disabled at Tirupati and interacted with patients recovering from various rehabilitative surgeries performed in the centre.
He expressed interest in the working of the hospital and visited its various wards accompanied by its director Jagadish.
