Pulse polio programme

CHITTOOR: District Collector S.S. Rawath said the pulse polio programme would be held on April 9, 10 & 11 and May 14, 15 & 16. A meeting of the concerned officers was held here on Tuesday to discuss the arrangements. Addressing the meeting, the Collector said that there were 4.33 lakh children between the age group of 0-5 years in the district who should be given oral polio drops. For this, 2,817 pulse polio immunization centres were set up at different places in the district. . He said that on April 9 and May 14 polio drops would be given to 0-5 age-group children. On April 10 & 11 and May 15 & 16, doctors would go door to door and give polio drops to the remaining children.
