Indians slip in rankings

New Delhi : The `Ides of March' seemed to have caught up with the Indian golfers with the trio of Jyoti Randhawa, Arjun Atwal and Shiv Kapur experiencing a free-fall in the latest official World golf rankings.

Randhawa, who could not make the cut in the million dollar TCL Classic in China, has gone down by 12 notches to finish 117th with 1.20 average points.

Arjun Atwal (1.10), who missed his second successive cut in the Bay Hill Invitational last week, has slipped two rungs to 134.

Shiv Kapur (1.04), likened to Justin Leonard by Fred Couples but struggling at present to find his touch, slid 13 places to find himself at 147 after his poor tied 41st finish in China.

World No. 1 Tiger Woods now enjoys a 9.11 average point lead over Fijian Vijay Singh. — UNI
