Tension at Gandhi Hospital

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: Mild tension prevailed at Gandhi Hospital on Tuesday after members of the electronic media raised a commotion over not being allowed into the casualty wing.

Trouble began after some 16 persons, who were injured in a road accident at Pregnapur on the Rajiv Rahadrai, were brought to the hospital.

Even as doctors and nurses were busy extending emergency treatment to the injured persons, television cameramen tried to enter the casualty wing, which was opposed by the doctors.

The media personnel then entered into an argument with the Resident Medical Officer. Senior hospital officials said it would not be proper or even ethical to allow the media into the casualty wing.
