Bank withdraws complaint against staff
Staff Reporter
BANGALORE:
The management of ING Vysya Bank on Tuesday withdrew the complaint it had filed against three of its officials.
The bank had charged the officials with misappropriating Rs. 5 lakhs in HSR Layout branch on Sunday. The management took the step after it found that a technical problem had led the management to suspect the employees. Realising this the management withdrew the complaint.
Many employees of the branch staged a protest before the bank's head office on Mahatma Gandhi Road on Tuesday. They alleged that the management has given a false complaint against the employees though it was aware of the technical problems that resulted in mismatch in certain accounts. They also alleged that the three employees were illegally detained by police on Sunday, a charge denied by the police. They have since been released by the police.
