This Day That Age
The Speaker, Mr. Ananthasayanam Ayyangar, announced in the Lok Sabha on March 22 that he had deputed a special officer to help members in sending their questions to the Lok Sabha Secretariat. Any member who found that his questions had not been admitted properly or that there was delay in admitting his questions could inform this officer. If the members were not satisfied they could tell this officer that the matter must receive the consideration of the Speaker whereupon the matter would be brought to the Speaker's notice. The Speaker's announcement came in the wake of criticism by some members that questions tabled by them were not properly admitted by the Secretariat.
