Deadline extended for special coffee relief package

COIMBATORE: The Centre has extended the deadline from June 30, 2005, to May 31, 2006, for coffee growers to deposit one-third of the interest on Special Coffee Term Loan for the three-year moratorium period (2002-05). According to a release from the Coffee Board, growers can avail themselves of the interest concession benefits as contained in the Special Coffee Relief Package notified by the Government on June 8, 2005.
