HeidelbergCement enters India through a JV

CHENNAI: HeidelbergCement, a leading producer of cement with its presence in Europe, North America, Asia and Africa, concluded a 50:50 joint venture agreement in India, consisting of the grinding plant of Indorama Cement (owned by the Indorama S.P. Lohia group) located at Raigad district, 100 km from Mumbai. The plant, which was built in 2000, has a capacity of 7.50 lakh tonnes.
