HYDERABAD: Posting resumes might not get easier than this. A new website, www.smsresume.com, is promising to "add wings to resumes,' by enabling one to send a resume to a company with the help of mere SMS. The facility, being introduced by IndianHR.com, will make it possible for those who have to apply urgently for a job and when there is no Internet connection available nearby. What one has to do is to register at smsresume.com, upload one's resume on the site and then, whenever the need be, shoot off the resume by sending an SMS to 3030. The website, according to its makers, integrates both mobile and Internet technology, and the resumes looks like as if it has been sent from the applicant's mail ID. One can also login into the personal account and keep a track of the previous SMS, like whether it was delivered or not, and to which mail ID and what time it was sent. This is after an SMS confirmation from smsresume.com for the message one sends.
It's quite easy
The SMS is also quite easy. Supposing the applicant's email ID is xyz@example.com, and that the of the company's is cv@company.com, and the subject or post you are applying for is engineer, the request to be sent to 3030 will be as follows: Resume xyz@example.com cv@company.com engineer. Smsresume.com is already hosted on the web, according to IndianHR.com director Suman.
