Two Delhi students move up in young author contest

NEW DELHI:
Alisha Jain of Springdales School and Chinmoy Hazarika of Bhavan's Sawan Public School have won the Delhi city finals of "Classmate Young Author Contest-2005''.
Alisha and Chinmoy are among 30 children short-listed for the prestigious Classmate Young Author Award from across the country.
The national jury panel for the contest is chaired by well-known author Ruskin Bond and includes authors Nandita Puri, Neeru Nanda, Alpana Chaudhary and Bakthiar Dadabhoy. The national jury will select 15 students for the national finals to be held in Mumbai on March 25.
According to the organisers, in addition to the Classmate Young Author Contest crown, the winner will be awarded a seven-day literary tour to London covering historic places.
