Dry weather likely in T.N.

CHENNAI: Isolated rainfall occurred over Kerala. Dry weather prevailed over Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in centimeters:

Chenganur (Alapuzha dt.) and Thiruvalla (Pathinamthitta Dt.) two each.

They were appreciably to markedly below normal at a few places over Tamil Nadu, below normal at a few places over rest Tamil Nadu, at one or two places over south interior Karnataka, appreciably above normal at one or two places over north interior Karnataka above normal at a few places over coastal Karnataka, rest north interior Karnataka, at one or two places over Rayalaseema, coastal Andhra Pradesh and were generally normal over the rest of the region.

Weather forecast (valid until Friday morning): Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Kerala and mainly dry weather will prevail over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Lakshadweep, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

Outlook for subsequent two days: No significant change.
