THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Lok Ayukta has ordered an investigation into allegations of bribery in the appointment of temporary bus conductors at the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation through the Employment Exchange. The order for investigation came in the wake of a petition filed by A. K. Harilal, S. Vijayakumar and V. J. Sunillal stating that they were asked to pay Rs.20,000 as bribe by an agent from the Transport Minister's office for securing appointment at the KSRTC. However, they were denied the job as they refused to pay the bribe. Meanwhile in a separate petition filed by the CITU leader K. K. Divakaran against Transport Minister N. Shaktan alleging graft in the KSRTC, the Lok Ayukta will start examining the witnesses on May 13.
