Testing time at Vidya Sagar

CHENNAI:
It is `testing' time for students of Vidya Sagar.
The organisation formerly known as the Spastics Society of India, will celebrate project day and mela on Friday and Saturday.
The theme of this year's project is `Food.'
On Friday, students of each class will take up one aspect of what they have learnt throughout the year and demonstrate their knowledge and skills in that area.
The annual mela will feature products made by older students with special needs.
The products include paper bags, wraparound skirts, jute bags, woven doormats and runners, laminated dinner mats, bookmarks, trays, coasters and leaf cups.
The proceeds from the sale will go to support the projects aimed at empowerment, employment and social inclusion of persons with disability.
The programme will be held at the organisation in Kotturpuram from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
