Ashraya celebrates annual day

CHENNAI:
Ashraya, the Centre for Mentally Challenged Children, run by Southern Railway Women's Welfare Organisation, celebrated its 13th annual day on Wednesday.
General Manager of Southern Railway, Thomas Varghese, was the chief guest and A. L. Chandramouli, general manager, Indian Overseas Bank, was the guest of honour. The students participated in sports events and prizes were distributed. The centre caters to wards of railwaymen and is open to outsiders as well. Mr. Chandramouli earlier donated Rs. 25,000 to the centre and promised to help the organisation in its future endeavours.
Mr. Varghese, on behalf of the Southern Railway, also presented Ashraya with a cheque for Rs. 25,000.
