Schools told to stick to timings

The Director of School Education has directed all heads of institutions to follow school timings, indicated to them on March 17. Accordingly, schools not having the SSC examination centres should run from 8 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and schools having SSC examination centre should run from 7 a.m. to 8.30 a.m.

Plea to depositors

The Charminar Cooperative Urban Bank is paying claims of depositors of untraceable, wrongly clubbed and short interest accounts. All such depositors are requested to approach the branch manager at Purnani Havel branch. Submission of claims commences from March 29 and the last date is April 30.

Call to pay water bills

Hyderabad Metro Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) Managing Director K. S. Jawahar Reddy has urged citizens to pay water bills on a regular basis. "We can ensure better quality supply when people pay their bills ," he said while speaking at a customers' meet at Srinagar Colony on Wednesday.

Beating stress

Young author contest winners

Two ninth standard students -- A.Sneha and Afrah Salim - of P. Obul Reddy School and Nasr School respectively, have won Hyderabad city finals of the Classmate Young Author Contest - 2005 . Both the students are now among the 30 short-listed children across the country.

The National jury panel for CYAC 2005, chaired by Ruskin Bond will be selecting 15 students for the national finals to be held in Mumbai on March 25.
