Auto driver leaves him on the roadside near the Langerhouz police station

HYDERABAD: A petty vendor, who sustained serious head injuries in a road accident, died after being abandoned on the roadside near the Langerhouz police station on Monday night.

An unidentified autorickshaw driver brought Abdul Jalal, 53, of Moghalnagar, with bleeding injuries to Sai Ram Hospital in Langerhouz late on Monday night. The hospital authorities after extending first aid advised the driver to shift Jalal to Osmania General Hospital, Langerhouz Inspector P. Jayaram said.

"However, it looks like the driver dumped the victim near a litterbin on the road and left," the Inspector said. The victim's son Feroz, who had been searching for his father since the latter did not return home, found the body around 3 a.m. on Tuesday.

The Inspector said Jalal sustained injuries in a road accident while travelling in an autorickshaw at Moinabad.
