Cheating case against college principal
Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD:
The Narayanaguda police on Wednesday registered a cheating case against the principal of Samata Degree College, Narayanaguda, for failing to issue hall-tickets to first-year students of B.Sc (Biotechnology) course.
A demonstration by the students, led Students Federation of India (SFI), in protest against the college management's failure to issue hall-tickets took a serious turn yesterday when the demonstrators attacked the college. Narayanaguda Inspector T. Chandrasekhar Reddy said that four B.Sc. students lodged a complaint stating college principal Lingam Yadav collected fee but failed to issue hall tickets. Based on this, a case under Section 420 was registered. "We learnt that the college was not permitted to admit students into B.Sc. course. This is, however, yet to be confirmed by university officials," the Inspector said.
Mr. Lingam said that two OU officials bore a grudge against him and intentionally delayed the distribution of hall-tickets .
