Power theft cases booked

HYDERABAD: Officials of the Central Power Distribution Company of AP Limited (CPDCL) booked 20 cases of power theft to the tune of Rs. 48.52 lakhs in and around the twin cities.

These included several small-scale industrial units, real estate and construction companies in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy district besides a popular resort at Shameerpet, Celebrity Homes, and Vignan Residential School, Kondapur.

CPDCL authorities appealed to people to inform to them cases of power theft over telephone on 23431007 (Vigilance Department) or 23431093 (Superintending Engineer, Detection of Pilferage of Energy wing, Hyderabad office.
