Anil Biswas' condition very critical: Buddhadeb

KOLKATA: The condition of Anil Biswas, State Secretary of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), who suffered a massive cerebral haemorrhage on Saturday, is very critical, West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee said here on Thursday.

Mr. Biswas was admitted to a city nursing home and a medical board is supervising his treatment. He underwent two surgeries for the removal of blood clots in the brain.

According to a medical bulletin, his condition continues to be critical. Mr. Biswas remained on ventilator support and his neurological status has not shown any improvement, according to doctors.
