One killed, seven hurt in group clash

ANANTAPUR: One person was killed and seven others were injured, one of them critically, in a clash between two groups over a land dispute at Hosaguddam village of D. Hirehal mandal in the district on Thursday. The injured were admitted to a hospital in Bellary.

According to the police, a group led by one Thippeswamy allegedly attacked another group led by Ramappa when they were on way to farm work.

Ramappa was among the seven persons of his group who were injured when they were attacked with wooden staffs and stones.

Srinivasulu, 26, succumbed to his injuries in the hospital while the condition of Ramappa was stated to be critical.
