Remand of Sreenu, others extended

Videoconference facility used for the first time

ANANTAPUR: The judicial custody of Moddu Sreenu in the Paritala Ravindra murder case, that of Sreenu, Suri and others in Tagarkunta Prabhakar murder case and that of Suri and others in the conspiracy to blast the house of Paritala Ravindra in the year 2000 has been extended.

Videoconference facility was used for the first time here on Thursday. A hall in the District Courts Complex here, where the facility was provided, was linked to a similar facility in Cherlapally and Chanchalguda prisons in Hyderabad to extend the judicial custody of a few accused and suspects in the three separate cases.

Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate A. Jayaraj extended the remand of Sreenu in the Paritala Ravindra murder case till March 29. In the other two cases, it was extended till April 5.
