Karachi: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Shaharyar Khan on Thursday said that Asian countries were on the verge of being disqualified as they sought an extension for submission of 2011 World Cup bid during the recent ICC Executive Board meeting held in Dubai. Mr. Khan said that Asia faced a ``ticklish situation'' after some of the ICC member countries objected against the extension given to them for the submitting the bid but refused to identify the countries. ``The situation was very ticklish when some members of the Executive Board objected to the International Cricket Council (ICC) for extending the submission bid date,'' Mr. Khan told a news conference. ``Actually, our compliance book was not ready in which we had to identify certain issues, including logistical arrangements and offers.''
