ALAPPUZHA: Two persons were killed and four injured when a mini-lorry hit a private bus on NH-47 near the Chandiroor Higher Secondary School junction in the district on Thursday at around 6 a.m. The police identified the deceased as Rajiv of Emblenkattu House, Cheruvathoor, near Moovattupuzha, who was the cleaner of the mini-lorry and a bus passenger K. Ravindranath of Rajini Nivas, Mannancherry, in the district. The injured have been admitted to Lakeshore Hospital, Ernakulam. The bus was going from Eramalloor to Kochi. The mini-lorry hit the rear of the bus when the bus driver applied the brake suddenly to stop.
