KOLKATA: Jamshedpur is likely to be the neutral venue for the National Football League matches involving three Kolkata teams East Bengal, Mohun Bagan and Mohammedan Sporting after April 14. The West Bengal Government expressed its inability to provide security at the Salt Lake Stadium for matches to be played after April 14 owing to the forthcoming Assembly elections. While the AIFF suggested New Delhi, Bangalore and Kozhikode as neutral venues, the Indian Football Association (IFA), after a meeting with the State sports minister, Subhas Chakraborty, suggested Jamshedpur. When contacted, Satish Pillai, head of sports and the Tata Football Academy, welcomed the proposal and promised to do a good job. Special Correspondent
