Great opportunity for professionals and amateurs to gain, say organisers

VISAKHAPATNAM: Photo Image Expo-2006, a major photography and image exhibition will be held at the AMCOSA auditorium near Zilla Parishad here from Saturday to Monday.

Several major photography equipment manufacturing companies, photography software companies and manufacturers of allied products would participate in the exhibition, the organisers said at a press conference here on Friday.

Noted photographers would conduct workshops during the exhibition. Rajan Babu of Hyderabad would conduct a session on framing and lighting on Saturday, followed by a seminar on fashion and modelling photography by Arvind Chenji of Hyderabad on Sunday. Ponnuswamy from Bangalore would discuss digital cameras, image editing and other aspects on Monday. Fashion show and modelling shoots have been arranged every day. Training classes on advanced photoshop creation would be conducted during the exhibition.

The exhibition was being organised by Sree Image in association with the Photo Image magazine and supported by the Professional Photographers and Videographers Association of Visakhapatnam.

Sale of equipment

"Camera and other photography equipment manufacturers have promised to sell their products at an affordable price," the organisers said.

The press conference was addressed by G.B.P. Srinivasa Rao of Photo Image magazine, president of photographers and videographers association N.V.V.S. Prasad and treasurers of the association K. Eswara Rao and P.V. Satyanarayana.
